I believe that social media should not be able to use the users' content for other purposes because it is violating someones' privacy. In reality, there is no one else to blame but ourselves if we allow social networks to distribute our content because we agreed to it without knowing what exactly we are agreeing to. According to the article, Facebook is allowed to distribute your information, anything you put on the website but they are not given the consent to sell it. This is an eye opener because Facebook may not be the only one doing this but also other social networks as well. We should really take the time to read the policies that we agree to, especially if it is related to the internet. A word of advice is that once you post something onto the internet, it can hardly ever be erased or deleted.
